What we love about this home:
It’s so bright, spacious and private that it feels like a cosy house rather than a unit. Being one of only three units, with friendly and respectful neighbours, made this a great place to live. The big north-facing windows and private backyard attracted us to this place. The open-plan living areas, large built-in robes, spacious bathroom and lock up garage made it a stress-free place to live. It’s a well-constructed solid brick and tile unit with ceiling insulation, which keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. We will miss spending time in the garden; listening to the birds and watching the evening light catch the beautiful gum tree out the front.
What we love about this suburb:
Living in the southern part of Reservoir offers the best of both worlds. We love Home Street- it’s a quiet street with the established family suburban feel of the Oakhill estate. There are funky cafes, bars and shops just around the corner, with new ones popping up all the time. It’s conveniently located close to the Summerhill Shopping Centre, with the vibrant Preston Market just down the hill. The 86 Tram into the city and up to Latrobe and RMIT Universities is a two-minute walk away (and Regent train station and the St Georges Bike path just 1.5km to the West). There are parks, the Darebin creek track, a swimming pool, and velodrome all in walking distance. There’s so much close by!
