VINTAGE VICTORIAN WITH UNIQUE GARDEN SURPRISE
Owners Notes
I have lived here very happily for twenty years and am reluctant to sell, but a return to country Victoria has been luring me for some time. Yet leaving here is a really difficult decision for me – painful actually. After all, who in their right mind opts to leave Ascot Vale, especially a location like this?
My children spent their teenage and early adulthood years here. We all love this house, this street, this suburb. It is a peaceful pocket. Neighbours from a range of age groups and occupations are friendly, sociable and delighted to offer help. Some enduring friendships have stemmed from residing here. Lots of laughter over a meal and a glass of wine, whether inside or alfresco, are enduring memories. As for the shopping precinct; it’s hard to beat Union Road for eating venues, shopping for most needs, bumping into friends and chatting to interesting people.
Over the years, friends have often exclaimed about the aesthetic appeal of this home; and somehow the place works beautifully. Everything is easy: upkeep and maintenance are low-key, the side external area lends itself to relaxing with friends, the kitchen is well-designed, the bathroom is efficient and makes life simple. You can easily access whatever appeals to you with an array of shops so close by.
Many of my best memories revolve around the cosiness of this home and how welcoming it is.
“VISALIA” is a Spanish word meaning ‘free’ and this describes very well how I have always felt living here. I love coming home.
