SPACE, STYLE & LOCATION
Owners Notes
When we bought this property some 12 years ago, we were earnestly searching for a 3-bedroom inner city house that would accommodate our 2 vehicles (and various bikes, kayaks, and pottery wheels!), and was comfortable and convenient to our workplaces. Over the years of ownership, it has also easily accommodated our growing family with 2 young children and guests, with plenty of storage and flexibility.
We tend to live in the middle level, and enjoy the privacy of bedrooms on the top and bottom levels. We love how quiet our house is, set back from Hanover Street and flanked by a school and friendly neighbours.
It’s a really comfortable house, warm in winter and cool in the summer, heaps of sunlight, private and cosy. It’s also fantastic for entertaining.
Our neighbourhood is both friendly and really quiet. Nearby are an abundance of excellent cafes, pubs, restaurants, child care centres, schools and the Carlton Gardens parklands are at the end of the street! A minute’s walk from our door is a tram-stop that takes you to Bourke Street Mall in 5 minutes. Several supermarkets are within walking distance, as is a swimming pool, library and the Royal Exhibition Building / Melbourne Museum.
We also love being so close to Brunswick, Gertrude and Smith Streets & regularly meet with friends who envy our convenient location!
We will miss living in Fitzroy – we have witnessed so much changes in the area that has enhanced the convenience & lifestyle that this central location offers.
Employment opportunities are now taking us on our next family adventure to Bendigo.
