Owners Notes

I have lived here since 2002. Previously I lived around the corner in Wilson Street and had met the owners of 1B Trinity at Temple Park walking my dog. Their family decided to relocate to Brisbane and I was planning to renovate my terrace. The owner of 1B said to me that I would be better suited to 1B Trinity (3 years old) with all the amenities of a modern build - as opposed to my small home that had all the problems of an old terrace in need of renovation. The next day I turned up at the auction and purchased 1B!

What my husband and I love about the house is that it is a hidden gem from the outside. You don’t expect to encounter so much space from the outside, or the peace and quiet. The site used to be a garage and was converted in 1999 into 3 townhouses. Each different to the other. This one has 3 full sized bedrooms but as it was in the middle of the site it got the benefit of the high ceilings. The result is that the living space is very generous compared to other inner-city houses. It’s a great space for entertaining as you have room for a dining table for 10-12 and you can easily fit in a couple of full-size couches.

For alfresco entertaining you have Temple Park just 2 mins around the corner. Great playground for kids and very handy to take the pooch. Over the years we have seen an increase in groups taking advantage of the mature Elm trees to enjoy the outdoors and to gather friends for a BBQ or a party. Most of us living in the inner city are not blessed with big backyards so it’s great to have community parks being used for that.

The location is great. You are so close to everything you need and even better is that you can walk 5-10 minutes and get to:-

- Sydney Road Tram #19

- Grantham Street Tram #58

- Barkly Square (Coles, Woolworths, Kmart)

- Union Square (Coles, Priceline, great Chicken Shop)

- Village Bakery (great products and very popular)

- Princes Park – great for jogging and walking the dog

- Royal Park precinct

- Union Hotel and Sweet Evelyn Café are a 1 minute walk away.

It is with a little sadness that we are moving. We have spent quite a bit on making 1B Trinity comfortable. We’ve added double glazing to all the doors and windows, we’ve added skylights (automatic too), we’ve put in new insulation 4 years ago and recarpeted 2 years ago. We are just moving 2 streets away so we will get to continue to enjoy all that this convenient location offers.
