Owners Notes
We have lived at 206 Wilson St Princes Hill for over 25 years. In fact, we were the original occupiers soon after the development was completed.
Princes Hill is a fabulous suburb with an eclectic variety of houses, parks and people. Our location proved to be a wonderful asset during lockdown as we were just across the street from the Linear Park connecting us through to Princes and Royal Parks in one direction and to Clifton Hill and the Yarra River in the other.
Being close to Princes Hill Primary has been a joy. The families, the morning laughter and the friendly Lollypop Man, Colin, have become part of our daily routine.
Access to the city via tram numbers 1, 6 and 19 is easy and bike paths give direct and safe access to Town. A short walk to Jewell train station is also an option to get to the City Loop and Southern Cross Station.
In our time here, we have watched the Brunswick end of Lygon St grow from one ice-cream bar and Thai restaurant into a thriving and diverse restaurant precinct with a staggering variety of options.
The kitchen is great, a good size with a bench top which doubles as a fabulous pastry board. The newly fitted kitchen drawers are able to accommodate as many utensils as one could possibly need and the unique pantry can house cookbooks and the necessary ingredients any chef could want.
The master bedroom on the top floor is spacious and calm with a useful nook with lovely views over the Linear Park and the thriving Community Garden. A huge walk-in robe and two bathrooms in the house are a definite asset!
We are leaving this light-filled, yet shady home for another house just down the street. Such is our love for this suburb. We are moving only because the house is not quite ‘fit for purpose’ anymore, but we leave behind a comfortable spacious home that we enjoyed living in immensely.
