Carlton Farmers' Market
Located at Carlton North Primary School, the Carlton Farmers' Market is open every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. Here you'll find an abundance of homemade, fresh bread, olives, oil, honey, grains and nuts, free-range eggs, cheeses, and luscious fruits. When available, the cherries in particular are a must-try! Boroondara Farmers' Market
The Boroondara Farmers' Market located in Hawthorn is not just a place to shop for fresh produce, it's a community gathering spot. Here, you can not only find a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, organic and seasonal options, meat, herbs, honey, eggs, bread, olives, baked goods, dips and sauces and even wine and beer but also connect with the passionate vendors who are delighted to discuss their products and farming methods. While you're there, you can feel good knowing that your entry fee of $2 is going towards supporting the Glenferrie Rotary Club's community endeavours. Freshen up your space with fresh flowers from the Coburg Farmers' Market.
Coburg Farmers' Market
Held at Coburg Primary School, the Coburg Farmers' Market features over 30 Victorian producers and small food businesses. Think fresh fruit, veg and flowers, plus coffee, deli meats and take-home meals. Visitors can also meet the chickens (who live in the 'Chicken Wing'), see the composting system, find out about the herbs and veg grown on the grounds, and play the piano that is permanently set up on the stage. The Coburg Farmers' Market is a great place for families with children and (well-behaved) dogs on leads! Throughout the year, this market exhibits a vibrant sense of community and welcomes visitors from near and far.
Flemington Farmers' Market
The Flemington Farmers' Market is a weekly event held every Sunday at Ascot Vale Primary School. From 8:30 am to 12 pm, you can find a wide variety of local and seasonal produce from Victoria's growers and makers. Not only is it a great opportunity to support the local community and the environment, but it also creates a lively and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Slow Food Farmers' Market (West Footscray and Spotswood)
As a community-driven market, Slow Food's market has developed into a staple in the inner west since moving from Abbotsford Convent. The market is now held twice a month in West Footscray and Spotswood, featuring around 50 stalls. Slow food is defined by quality home-grown fruits and vegetables, organic pork, local distilleries, and much more.
