Why does Nelson Alexander use Sorted?
At Nelson Alexander, we've joined forces with Sorted to build an integrated ecosystem where renters, rental providers, property managers, and our esteemed trades can seamlessly collaborate on a unified platform and through the Nelson Alexander App. This ensures efficient communication and streamlined processes for all involved parties.
How are trade invoices paid, and who do I contact for payment follow-ups?
Billing Overview:
Invoices are sent from Sorted, our maintenance management system, to our property management system where they are processed for payment. The final approval for payment rests with the property manager. Once approved, invoices are paid from rental funds or directly from the owner if necessary. Note that payments may be subject to rent cycles, with a potential delay of up to 60 days if the initial cycle is missed.
Follow-Up on Outstanding Invoices:
If you have unpaid invoices, start by reaching out to the property manager who initiated the work order. You can also contact the office Department Manager overseeing the property management team if necessary. If the resolution is unsatisfactory, you can escalate the matter to the Operations Team at the Head Office.

Will Sorted provide more quoting and work potential within the Nelson Alexander network?
Absolutely! Nelson Alexander operates as one cohesive team, without franchise boundaries. Our property managers can manage properties across Metro Melbourne, and we've opened trade opportunities to the entire network. If a quote or work order doesn't suit you, simply 'cancel' or 'pass' the request within your portal, and the property manager will be notified to find another trade.
