Close to everything – public transport, schools, great food shopping and coffee shops, Thornbury is a multi-cultural suburb 7 km north of the CBD.
With a friendly community spirit and a secure ambience, the suburb is bordered by the Merri Creek to the west and Darebin Creek to the east. Lying between Northcote and Preston, Thornbury is well served by trams, trains and buses. The main commercial area is around Thornbury Village but there are other smaller shopping precincts, and there is a host of bars, night spots and music venues.
